About Your Role
CMTS is seeking an experienced Document Controls Manager to support construction and program management projects in the Dallas, TX area. The Document Controls Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining document control systems and procedures to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient management of project documentation.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to maintain compliance with project and contractual requirements.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred
What You'll Need to Get the Job Done
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in document control within construction, engineering, or program management environments
- Experience supporting large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
- Proficiency with document management systems such as PMWeb, e-Builder, Procore, SharePoint, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of construction documentation processes and workflows
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Experience supporting aviation, transportation, or public sector projects
- Familiarity with project controls processes including scheduling and cost tracking
- Knowledge of contract documentation and compliance requirements
- Experience working in an Owner's Representative or Program Management environment
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and manage document control procedures and systems for construction projects
- Maintain and organize project documentation including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, contracts, and reports
- Ensure proper version control and distribution of documents to project stakeholders
- Manage electronic document management systems such as PMWeb, e-Builder, Procore, or similar platforms
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure timely submission and tracking of project documentation
- Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards
- Track and log RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation
- Prepare and generate reports related to document control activities and project status
- Maintain audit-ready records in compliance with client and regulatory requirements
- Support project closeout activities including final document compilation and turnover
