Job Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.

- Diagnose and repair HVAC system malfunctions and inefficiencies.

- Install new HVAC systems and components, including ductwork, wiring, and controls.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, codes, and regulations.

- Provide customers with detailed reports on system conditions and suggested maintenance or repairs.

- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and service calls.

- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.

- Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects efficiently.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements and HVAC technologies.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during service and repair activities.

- Use specialized tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems.

- Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues and propose solutions.

- Manage inventory and order parts as needed to ensure timely repairs and installations.

- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians or apprentices when necessary.

Job Requirements

- High school diploma or GED

- HVAC certification or diploma from an accredited trade school

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair

- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams

- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units

- Ability to diagnose and resolve HVAC issues efficiently

- Familiarity with local HVAC codes and regulations

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces

- Strong customer service and communication skills

- Willingness to work on-call shifts and overtime as needed

- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

- EPA certification for handling refrigerants

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
