Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a Medical Director. The clinic provides comprehensive veterinary care and is seeking an experienced veterinarian to lead the medical direction of the practice while remaining clinically active. The hospital delivers care to dogs, cats, and a wide range of exotic and pocket pets.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full-time position.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director role combines hands-on clinical practice with medical leadership, with the majority of time spent delivering patient care. Clinical responsibilities include wellness care, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, urgent care, end-of-life care, and treatment of both companion animals and exotic species. Leadership responsibilities include advancing medical standards, creating a collaborative team environment, leading staff and practice operations, driving revenue and financial performance, and supporting the ongoing growth of the hospital. This role is intended for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital practices high-quality, progressive, and individualized medicine and is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities. Facilities support surgical and dental procedures, diagnostic imaging including digital radiography and ultrasound, laboratory services, and pharmacy services. The practice offers a broad range of services including wellness and preventive care, surgical services, exotic pet care, nutrition, urgent care, and end-of-life care, supported by modern medical infrastructure.

Team
The hospital team includes three DVMs supported by an established and collaborative staff. The working culture emphasizes teamwork, communication, and a supportive environment focused on delivering quality medicine and exceptional client service.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
