Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a growing, multi-doctor small animal practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The practice treats a variety of companion animals and offers a broad range of services, including general wellness, diagnostics, specialty surgery, theriogenology, and physical therapy. The team is led by a board-certified small animal surgeon, making it an excellent opportunity for veterinarians with a surgical interest.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekends closed. No on-call or weekend hours are required. Full- and part-time positions are available, and the practice emphasizes work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for examining and treating companion animals, interpreting diagnostic results, advising on preventative care and treatment options, performing surgeries-including specialized procedures such as fracture repairs and gastropexies-prescribing medications, providing end-of-life care, maintaining medical records, and ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant policies. The role is open to all experience levels.

Practice Details
The hospital features a full-service rehabilitation facility, including an underwater treadmill, Piezo shockwave, therapeutic ultrasound, cold laser, and e-stim. Equipment and facilities support a diverse caseload, ranging from general wellness to advanced surgical and physical therapy cases. Services offered include wellness exams, diagnostics, dental care, urgent care, reproductive services, rehabilitation and pain management, and pet boarding.

Team
The practice currently has two DVMs supported by highly skilled technicians capable of performing anesthesia, IV catheter placement, radiographs, lab procedures, and more. The environment is collaborative and supportive, providing veterinarians with the assistance and resources needed to deliver high-quality care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
