Our client is a hospital that is hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. They have been serving the Erie community for over 70 years and provide high-quality small animal medicine and surgery within a recently renovated, modern environment featuring six exam rooms, including a cat-only room and separate feline lobby. The hospital offers a supportive, collaborative culture with structured mentorship for new graduates.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Tuesday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Wednesday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Thursday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, and closed on Sunday. The schedule includes a four-day work week with every third Saturday rotation. Flexibility and autonomy in scheduling are supported.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries, operate diagnostic equipment, collect diagnostic samples, and interpret results. Responsibilities include advising pet owners on preventative care and treatment options, performing surgery, prescribing medication, providing counsel around end-of-life care, maintaining medical records, and ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures. The role includes daily dentals, soft-tissue procedures, and collaboration with veterinarians who perform abdominal ultrasounds and cardiology scans. The hospital offers structured mentorship and is new graduate-friendly.

Practice Details
Equipment includes digital full-body and dental radiography, IDEXX in-house and reference labs, digital ultrasound, Cornerstone practice management software, and full anesthesia monitoring systems. Facilities include a recently renovated hospital with six exam rooms, a cat-only room, and a separate feline lobby. Services offered include high-quality small animal medicine and surgery, daily dentals, soft-tissue procedures, abdominal ultrasound, and cardiology scans. The hospital maintains a drama-free, family-like culture supported by biweekly team meetings and lunch-and-learns.

Team
The hospital has 3 DVMs supported by a tenured team of licensed technicians, assistants, and front-desk staff within a collaborative environment where most team members have been with the practice for over five years.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
