Bindery Operator
We are seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Bindery Operator who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. This role is critical to delivering high-quality finished printed products that meet and exceed customer expectations.
Precision and attention to detail are essential. The Bindery Operator is responsible for accurately reading and following job tickets and customer specifications to ensure all finishing work meets quality standards, production deadlines, and safety requirements.
Full-time and part-time positions are available on second shift, with flexible 5-day and 4-day workweek options. Compensation is competitive and negotiable based on experience.
This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced bindery equipment while contributing directly to customer satisfaction, production efficiency, and overall team success.
What You’ll Do
- Set up, adjust, and operate bindery equipment including folders, die cutters, stitcher-trimmers, cutters, and other finishing machinery
- Review and interpret production-ready job tickets and customer specifications to ensure accuracy
- Monitor product quality throughout the production run to ensure adherence to industry and company standards
- Perform machine setup, calibration, and changeovers for various job requirements
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Troubleshoot equipment or quality issues and coordinate with maintenance when necessary
- Monitor and maintain bindery supplies and materials to prevent workflow interruptions
- Assist with departmental organization and 5S initiatives to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Lift and move materials up to 75 pounds and handle paper stock efficiently and safely
- Collaborate with production team members to meet daily schedules and delivery deadlines
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs

- Prior bindery experience in a commercial printing environment preferred (training available for mechanically inclined candidates)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production instructions
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet production deadlines
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods
