Project Engineer - Civil Construction (Entry Level)

Experience Level: 6 months – 2 years (Internships accepted)

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Project Engineer to support our civil construction team. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to grow within the general contracting / civil construction industry . The Project Engineer will assist with day-to-day project coordination, documentation, and communication to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget.

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project operations

• Support project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes

• Help track schedules, material deliveries, and subcontractor activities

• Review project drawings and specifications

• Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost tracking

• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams

• Participate in jobsite meetings and site walks

• Support project closeout and documentation

• 6 months to 2 years of experience in construction (internships acceptable)

• General contracting or civil construction experience preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field highly preferred

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Eagerness to learn and grow within the construction industry

• Internship or co-op experience with a General Contractor or civil contractor

• Exposure to heavy civil, sitework, utilities, or infrastructure projects

• Familiarity with project management or construction software
