Neonatology Physician

A LevelIII neonatal intensive care unit in Southfield, MI is seeking a Locums NeonatologyPhysician to provide in-house night and weekend coverage. This opportunity isideal for a fellowship-trained neonatologist who is comfortable managing ahigh-acuity NICU environment and providing overnight in-house call coverage.

Theprovider will work within a collaborative neonatal care team in a busytertiary-level NICU setting.

PositionDetails

• Facility Level: Level III NICU
• Shift Type: I n-house call coverage
• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirements: Required (7 PM - 7 AM in-house coverage)
• On-Call Requirements: In-house overnight call

ClinicalResponsibilities

• Provide in-house neonatal intensive care coverage during night shifts
• Manage critically ill newborns in a Level III NICU setting
• Respond to neonatal emergencies and deliveries as needed
• Oversee stabilization and ongoing care of premature and high-risk infants
• Collaborate with NICU nurses, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system

Qualifications

• MD or DO required
• Board Certified in Neonatology required
• Fellowship-trained in Neonatology required
• Active Michigan medical license required
• Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications required
