Construction Manager/Estimating - ARB CA

ARB Underground is seeking a Construction Manager/Estimator for its Pittsburgh, CA location.
This role is responsible for overseeing project design and execution while serving as a subject matter expert to the customer. In addition, the position supports estimating efforts by developing plans and preparing bid packages.

Construction Manager Responsibilities include:

• Directing, planning, and managing construction activities
• Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with company safety standards and operational procedures.
• Your role will vary by project and client, offering a dynamic and rewarding challenge with each new project.
  
  

Estimating Responsibilities Include:

• Provide accurate takeoffs for bidding purposes from sources such as “Issue for Bid” drawings, KMZ files, etc.
• Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications and other materials typically issued during a bid.
• General knowledge of pipeline construction means and methods.
• Ability to coordinate the bid solicitation process
• Contact subcontractors by phone and e-mail to confirm their understanding of their scope of work and the upcoming bid date.
• Prepare and submit RFI’s as required.
• Assists in preparing subcontractor bid packages.
• Assist estimators and project managers on bid follow-ups when required.
• Will review competitive subcontractor/supplier bids with senior management.
  
  

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience
• Five + years of construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, and construction management
• Experience within materials logistics

Compensation: $150,000-190,000/year or hour depending on position (Compensation will depend on qualifications and experience.)
