Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Lead Veterinarian to join their small animal practice providing care for dogs and cats. This opportunity allows an experienced veterinarian to take on a leadership role within a well-established practice that has served its community since 1963. The hospital is known for delivering compassionate veterinary care while maintaining strong relationships with clients and providing a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility. The hospital operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Wednesday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. The hospital is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Lead Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care while guiding the medical team and maintaining high clinical standards across the hospital. Responsibilities include performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, conducting surgical and dental procedures, and developing treatment plans for patients. The role also involves supporting the veterinary team, helping uphold clinical protocols, collaborating with management on hospital operations, and fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
