Our client is a long-established animal hospital in Newark seeking a compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated and skilled team. The hospital has proudly served the community for over 60 years, providing exceptional care to cats, dogs, pot-bellied pigs, and rabbits. Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position, with part-time options available for those seeking flexibility. The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with Sundays off.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care across a wide range of cases. Daily duties include diagnostics, wellness exams, dentistry, surgery, and internal medicine. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with tailored mentorship and professional development available. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, enjoy collaboration, and thrive in a supportive and client-focused environment.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital features five exam rooms, including one dedicated feline room, a surgical laser, digital and dental radiography, tonometry, Cardell CO C-STAT monitors, a full in-house laboratory, and a dedicated dental suite. The hospital offers a broad range of services, including preventive care, general and advanced surgery, internal medicine, pain management, radiology, dermatology, anesthesia, and dental care. Located in a vibrant college town surrounded by restaurants, parks, and cultural attractions, the hospital offers a great balance between professional excellence and lifestyle appeal.

Team
The practice is home to four DVMs supported by a talented and collaborative team of veterinary professionals. The environment fosters teamwork, mentorship, and continuous growth, making it an excellent setting for veterinarians to thrive and deliver the best possible care to their patients.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
