Join our team at Gadabouts Catering, a family-owned catering company based in North Carolina that specializes in high-end catering services for weddings and events. We offer personalized menus, bar services, and rentals with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. As a Catering Sous Chef, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and creativity in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Head Chef to plan and prepare food for events
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using sautéing, roasting, baking and knife skills
• Maintain food quality standards and ensure proper portion control
• Create delicious foods for weddings and other special events
•  
• Required Skills:
• Degree in Culinary Arts or minimum two years experience
• Experience in large scale food production
• Strong knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with fryer operations
• Knowledge of pastry making and dessert decoration
• Previous experience in kitchen management

Salary and Benefits:

• Minimum Salary: $21 per hour
• Maximum Salary: $26 per hour
• Bonus incentive at end of season
