Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Scheduler to develop, monitor, and manage comprehensive schedules for largescale construction projects. The ideal candidate will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure accurate project sequencing, timely progress updates, and adherence to safety, budget, and quality standards. This role is essential in driving project efficiency, identifying risks, and ensuring successful delivery.

Location: Belton, TX (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including activities, phases, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field supervisors to gather schedule inputs and maintain accuracy.
  • Identify critical paths, risks, delays, and opportunities to improve project timelines.
  • Conduct frequent schedule updates to reflect actual progress and changes in project scope.
  • Prepare and distribute schedule reports, dashboards, and progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Analyze resource allocations and perform resource loading within Primavera when needed.
  • Resolve schedule conflicts and proactively address potential project delays.
  • Support the estimating department by incorporating timelines into bid submissions.
  • Assist with schedulerelated construction claims, impacts, and change orders.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide expert scheduling insights.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement industry best practices, leveraging lessons learned.
Qualification Standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Proven experience in scheduling for heavy civil construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is required.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience with schedule updating, reporting, and resource loading.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
  • Must meet postoffer screening requirements (drug/alcohol test, physical evaluation, etc.).
