General Practice Veterinarian (Associate Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a full-time Associate Veterinarian at their small animal practice in Chatham, Illinois. This AAHA-accredited, Cat Friendly, and Fear-Free Certified clinic is committed to delivering high-quality veterinary care for cats and dogs across Central Illinois. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position with a consistent schedule and a manageable caseload, designed to support work-life balance and clinical focus.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering comprehensive veterinary services, including preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. The clinic offers advanced diagnostics and surgical support, with orthopedic procedures referred to a sister facility. All anesthetic cases are managed with pre-op lab work, IV catheterization, fluids, and close monitoring by skilled surgical technicians. This role is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The clinic is fully equipped with an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, endoscopy, and ultrasound. They utilize Intravet for electronic medical records. The facility supports a diverse caseload and encourages doctors to pursue their areas of clinical interest in a collaborative and well-resourced setting.

Team
The team includes four DVMs and a highly experienced support staff who are integral to patient and client care. Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
