Urgent Care Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team. This is a well-established, multi-species hospital that cares for dogs, cats, exotics, pet pigs, backyard poultry, pet ruminants, and FFA livestock. They are looking for a veterinarian who is interested in providing urgent care services within a broad, dynamic clinical environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm and on Saturdays from 8am to 2pm. The schedule for doctors is open to discussion, and the position can be structured as either full or part-time depending on the needs of the candidate.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role covers the full scope of urgent care services, with day-to-day responsibilities across a wide range of clinical areas. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. New associates will receive mentoring and support from the hospital owner, senior veterinarians, the hospital administrator, the practice manager, zone team leaders, and on-call board-certified specialists.

Practice Details
The hospital pays for continuing education opportunities for associates in areas such as exotics, ultrasound, dentistry, emergency and critical care, endoscopy, advanced surgery, and rehabilitation services. The facility offers 24-hour on-site emergency care and features 10 exam rooms in an award-winning facility. The hospital is Cat Friendly Gold Accredited, and all DVMs and team leaders are Fear Free Certified. The practice is well equipped with digital imaging, real-time ultrasound, an endoscope, a carbon dioxide laser surgery unit, and a full in-house laboratory. Rehabilitation services include a Class IV laser, massage, a water treadmill, and PRP. The hospital is AAHA Accredited since 1995 and is accredited as a Level II facility by the Veterinary Critical Care Society. It is located in a comfortable suburb only 20 minutes from Houston and supported by an excellent team.

The hospital has 10 DVMs and a full team of support staff, creating a collaborative environment with strong support and mentoring available.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
