Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary clinic in Thompsonville, IL, seeking a veterinarian to join their small, rural practice. They are hiring for a role treating primarily dogs and cats, with the flexibility to see any species that can be brought into the clinic.

Working Hours / Rota
The clinic is open Monday and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closed on Tuesday and Thursday, and open Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The practice is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This role is available on a full-time basis, with no after-hours or weekend responsibilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The veterinarian will provide in-house patient care, including examinations, surgery, lab work, vaccinations, spaying and neutering, dental care, ultrasound diagnostics, nutritional counseling, and general health checks. Cases requiring advanced diagnostics can be referred to a sister practice nearby. The position is open to veterinarians of all experience levels who are interested in delivering quality medicine in a close-knit, community-oriented environment.

The clinic operates as a small, rural facility with a family-oriented culture, prioritizing comprehensive care in-house while leveraging referral resources for more complex cases. Services offered include wellness exams, surgery, dental care, spaying and neutering, vaccinations, ultrasound, and nutritional counseling.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
