Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter to oversee and perform a wide range of construction tasks on public works and commercial projects. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded tradesperson with strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead work in the following trades:

  • Carpentry and framing

  • Finish carpentry and cabinetry installation

  • Tile installation

  • Plumbing

  • Electrical

• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications

• Ensure work is completed in compliance with local, state, and federal codes

• Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site

• Adhere to all company safety policies and public works requirements

• Layout 

• Material take off for projects 

• Maintaining budgets 

Qualifications

• Minimum 15  years of experience as a carpenter, with lead experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, tile, framing, cabinetry)

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards

• Ability to pass a background check if required for public works projects

• Clean driving record (required to occupy company truck)

Required Certifications & Eligibility (U.S.)

• Legal authorization to work in the United States (I-9 compliant)

• Valid U.S. driver’s license

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification (OSHA 30 preferred)

• CPR/First Aid Certification

• Ability to comply with prevailing wage and public works requirements
