Job crafting is the act of modifying your existing job in a way that allows you to make the most impact and shine in your organization. Employees want a sense of purpose in what they do, and as they figure out how to find meaningful work, job crafting may be a more effective way to do so than looking for an entirely new position. The job crafting process has three forms:

• Task crafting: switching the type of role and the tasks involved in it
• Relationship crafting: altering who you are interacting with in the scope of your job duties
• Cognitive crafting: changing how you interpret the work you are doing
