Challenges
With a nationwide talent shortage in the healthcare industry, time is of the essence for AMN Healthcare to source and place the right candidates. Therefore, the organization is always looking for new resources to efficiently find talent and build a pipeline, especially for hard-to-fill, specialized positions like radiologists and gastroenterologists as well as certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs).
Additionally, AMN seeks out niche platforms to promote their clients’ jobs, as general job boards tend to lack high-quality candidates for specialty healthcare roles.
Solutions
AMN Healthcare found iHire, an industry-focused employment platform with 57 talent communities, including 13 healthcare-specific sites such as iHireNursing and iHirePhysicians. iHire’s automated job postings and accurate resume database could help AMN Healthcare fill current openings and grow their pipelines for future placements. Plus, iHire is home to unique, career-driven candidates – 54% of whom don’t use many of today’s large, general job boards.
AMN Healthcare opted for iHire’s automated Job Slots solution, which pulls as many as 200 jobs directly from the firm’s career site using an XML feed. Those jobs are shared across the most relevant iHire talent communities, in email alerts to matching candidates, and on AMN Healthcare’s branded company profile.
AMN Healthcare also subscribed to iHire’s Resume Search, which gives recruiters access to over 3 million active and passive job seekers and allows them to filter candidates by job title, skills, location, education level, last activity, and more.
Results
Working with iHire, AMN Healthcare has made 13 placements, including six nurse practitioners (NPs), five dentists, and two physician assistants (PAs), in the first eight months of 2025. AMN Healthcare has found iHire especially effective for recruiting these specialized positions.
