About the Role

Mel’s Builders & Design Inc. is looking for skilled, hardworking Framing Carpenters to join our permanent construction crew. We specialize in high-end, custom residential builds across Los Angeles. We aren't looking for temporary help—we are building a consistent, long-term team of professionals who take pride in "stacking wood" the right way.

Key Responsibilities

• Custom Framing: Execute wood framing for high-end residential estates, including complex floor systems, wall plates, and intricate roof rafters.

• Structural Install: Installation of shear walls, beams, posts, and heavy structural hardware according to engineered details.

• Plan Adherence: Read and interpret construction blue-prints to ensure every stud and joist is exactly where it needs to be.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of professional framing experience (Custom residential preferred).

• Skills: Strong understanding of wood-frame construction, structural hardware, and layout basics.

• Tools: Must have your own reliable tool belt and standard hand tools (Hammer, tape, speed square, chalk line, etc.).

• Transportation: Must have a reliable vehicle to reach various job sites across the Los Angeles area.

• Mindset: Strong work ethic, punctual, and a "team-first" attitude. No egos—just high-quality building.
