Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a multi-doctor, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital in Crestwood seeking a Veterinary Medical Director. The practice provides care for a variety of patients, including canine, feline, and exotic pets, with a focus on general medicine, advanced surgery, dentistry, rehabilitation, and acupuncture.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. This is a full-time leadership position with flexibility to manage both clinical and administrative responsibilities, supporting a balanced professional and personal schedule.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will lead and mentor a team of veterinarians and support staff, overseeing clinical operations, developing treatment plans, and fostering a collaborative, ethical, and supportive environment. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality veterinary care, guiding staff development, implementing best practices, managing daily operations, enhancing client relationships, and driving hospital success. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of clinical experience and at least two years in a leadership role.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including digital radiography, dental radiology, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, ECG, Doppler, and an underwater treadmill. Facilities support comprehensive care, with services encompassing preventive medicine, wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, soft tissue and advanced surgery, dental care, rehabilitation, and exotic pet treatment. The practice is Fear-Free and Feline Friendly, emphasizing patient comfort and a collaborative, supportive culture.

Team
The hospital has a team of four veterinarians supported by credentialed technicians, assistants, and client service staff. The environment is collaborative, mentorship-focused, and encourages professional growth, allowing the Medical Director to guide and inspire both clinical and operational excellence.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
