Heavy Equipment PM Mechanic

Location: Near Carlsbad, NM | Halfway Landfill Facility

Pay Range: $87,000 $102,000 ($24$28+/hr., based on experience + overtime)

Schedule: Monday Friday, with occasional weekends | 5560 hour weeks | Day Shift

We are currently looking to add a Heavy Equipment PM Mechanic to our team at the Halfway Landfill Facility near Carlsbad, NM . To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 1+ years of experience as a Mechanic, preferably on Heavy Equipment/Yellow Iron. This is a Day Shift position, Monday through Friday, with occasional Weekends. We offer family benefits, 401(k), vacation, and year-round steady work. The Job:

Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Diesel Trucks and Heavy Equipment/Yellow Iron.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.

Use onboard computer systems to identify and resolve vehicle issues.

Complete work orders and documentation using our fleet maintenance software.

Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-site service calls.

Ensure a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment.

Requirements:

1+ years of hands-on Mechanic experience

Must have your own tools

Basic computer skills for Diagnostics and Documentation

Commitment to safety practices and PPE usage
