Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience:

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

Experience with MedConnectHealth is preferred from any number of months.

BSN completion preferred

Requirements:

Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission).

• 2 years of experience: clinic or acute inpatient MS - will accept RN with basic MedSurg experience with this opening.
• Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam for clearance, achieving at least an 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms (for specific specialties).
• You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
• References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

• Prior clinic experience preferred.
• Work Settings: Acute Hospital, Outpatient Clinic.

• For DC locations You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending. MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure.

• Transplant Coordinator (organ: kidney-pancreas).
• Patient population: Patients being evaluated for kidney transplant.
• EMR: MedConnect.
• Manager interviews are not guaranteed. Travelers must be comfortable proceeding without an interview.
• Any traveler questions should be directed to the AM.

• No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment.
• RTO must be included at the time of submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.

• No on call, no weekend requirement.

7 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 references from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
