Culinary Specialist at Pinwheel Provisions

Join our team at Pinwheel Provisions, a specialty foods market and cafe located in Bryn Mawr, PA. We are dedicated to providing nutritious, balanced meals and locally sourced foods to our community. As we continue to expand our offerings, we are looking for a Culinary Specialist who is passionate about food and committed to delivering high-quality dishes to our customers.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Menu planning and development
• Ensuring food quality meets our standards
• Preparing dishes from scratch
• Maintaining portion control
• Utilizing knife skills, fryer, grilling, and baking techniques
• Managing back of house operations
• Handling food safely and following sanitation guidelines
• Assisting with catering events
• Ordering supplies and ingredients
• Closing duties to ensure kitchen cleanliness

Required Skills:

• Experience in food preparation and cooking
• ServSafe Food Handler certification
• Knowledge of food and beverage management
• Strong understanding of food safety protocols
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with food ordering and inventory management
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Additional culinary certifications

Salary and Benefits:

Wage based on experience.

Pinwheel Provisions Local Market & Table, launched in 2020, is a specialty foods market and cafe, focusing on nutritious, balanced meals and foods sourced locally wherever possible. We have recently moved to an expanded space partnering with the Bryn Mawr Film Institute to provide more dining and beverage options, including a menu of cafe drinks, non-alcoholic cocktails and house drinks, and made to order and grab and go meals.
