Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead federal construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and federal regulations, while effectively managing project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead successful execution of federal construction projects.
  • Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and federal regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for federal clients, providing regular updates and addressing issues proactively.
  • Direct and support the project team, including Superintendent, Quality Control Manager (QCM), Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), and Project Coordinators.
  • Manage project scheduling and ensure milestones are met.
  • Develop and oversee project budgets, maintaining cost control and financial accountability.
  • Allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Procure materials and services in compliance with federal requirements.
  • Direct subcontractor activities to ensure performance, compliance, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with federal safety regulations and foster a safety-first culture.
  • Oversee quality control processes and facilitate inspections and certifications.
  • Utilize Microsoft 365 for documentation and reporting.
  • Use USACE Resident Management System (RMS) for USACE projects.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Construction Project Manager in federal contracting.
  • Direct experience with agencies such as NAVFAC, USACE, NPS, BOR, and VA.
  • Proven leadership of project teams including Superintendent, QCM, SSHO, and Project Coordinators.
  • Expertise in civil construction and tenant improvements.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal construction processes, standards, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Procore, and USACE RMS.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid California Driver's License and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is a plus.
  • Construction Project Management Professional (CPMP) certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives is beneficial.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.
  • QCM (Quality Control Manager) experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing NAVFAC projects is essential for this specific role.
  • Experience with other federal agencies, such as VA or Army Corps, is beneficial.

Work Environment

Travel to project site in Monterey will be accommodated, with options for company car, rental, or flight and hotel. Frequency is roughly every other week, occasionally as needed, and constant site presence is not expected. The project duration is projected for a year with opportunities for long-term engagement. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
