Anthoine Shell and Leland Macon founded Buttoned Up Services in 2017 to support the temporary culinary staffing needs in the St. Louis area. The two had met almost a decade earlier, when their kids began playing youth sports together. After talking shop for several years, they identified a huge need for good, on-demand culinary workers. Recognizing an opportunity to create something special, Anthoine and Leland formed Buttoned Up Services to provide a new network for matching the supply of as-needed, skilled workers with the demands of employers. Today, they have expanded the company beyond the St. Louis metropolitan area to serve clients across Missouri, including Kansas City, Columbia, Cape Girardeau and Springfield. Leland is responsible for business development and expanding Buttoned Up Services into new markets. A lifelong entrepreneur who previously worked in the financial services industry, Leland has 25 years of experience building businesses, driving growth and increasing profitability for a wide range of organizations including technology companies, manufacturers and professional services firms. Anthoine leads recruiting and operations while overseeing staffing assignments. He has more than a quarter century of experience in all aspects of the culinary industry: from back- and front-of-house roles to executive leadership positions. Anthoine has worked alongside many of the culinary leaders in St. Louis, and has earned an outstanding reputation across the industry.
