H. Wayne Huizenga was the first person to own three major professional sports teams at the same time. He owned the Miami Dolphins, Florida Marlins (now the Miami Marlins), and the Florida Panthers. He brought Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League to South Florida. He also believed in the business education at NSU and with his support the Huizenga College of Business has grown over the last two decades into one of the largest Business programs in the state of Florida.
