Fast paced foundry located in Whittier has an opportunity for an experienced Controller in manufacturing. The company was founded in 1972 as a family-owned business and is now an ESOP company with approximately 400 employees. We are looking for someone who is a leader, team player and is looking to challenge themselves in their career.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise accounting staff
Oversee all aspects of the general ledger including chart of accounts, preparation and review of journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial statements
Review fixed assets
Prepare weekly reports for CEO
Responsible for all accounting operations
Oversee collections
Oversee 401K and ESOP Plans
Review insurance coverage and renewals including medical, liability, auto, etc.
Manage all audits related to benefits and finance
Manage cash and cash transactions

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
Minimum 7 years of accounting experience in manufacturing industry
Experience in ERP system
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
