Job Description
Plumbing Project Manager / Estimator
Who Are We?
We’re Plumbing Resolution, a growing commercial plumbing company based in the Philadelphia area. For over 10 years, we’ve built a reputation for taking on complex commercial projects and getting them done the right way. Our work includes multifamily buildings, restaurants and bars, warehouses, clubhouses, mixed use spaces and more.
We’re a smaller, hands on team with a strong culture built around accountability, communication, quality work and keeping projects moving. Our office team is small with 3 people in office, and our field crews typically range from 20 to 40 plumbers depending on project workload, with 2 superintendents overseeing field operations.
This role is a big one for us. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the company long term and be a real part of what we’re building. The right person will thrive in a smaller business environment, enjoy wearing multiple hats, take ownership of their work and help us continue building the next phase of the company alongside ownership and the field team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Project Management
Manage commercial plumbing projects from kickoff through closeout
Project sizes range from approximately $50,000 to $4M+
Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors and schedules with our superintendents and foremen
Keep projects moving ahead of schedule whenever possible
Visit jobsites regularly to monitor progress, quality and coordination
Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
Serve as the main point of contact with General Contractors and clients
Estimating & Preconstruction
Work directly with ownership on bidding and proposal preparation
Perform takeoffs and help build accurate project estimates
Coordinate pricing with vendors and subcontractors
Identify VE opportunities and cost saving solutions during bidding and buyout
Financial & Operational Oversight
Prepare and track pay applications
Monitor labor and material costs against budgets
Help keep projects financially healthy and profitable
Coordinate with vendors to ensure materials and deliveries stay on track
Leadership & Communication
Communicate daily with supers, foremen and office staff
Help create a professional, organized and positive work environment
Identify issues before they become problems, both in the field and on plans
Build strong working relationships with GCs, vendors and subcontractors
Attend weekly project meetings as needed
What We’re Looking For
3+ years experience as an APM or PM with a plumbing/mechanical contractor or GC
Commercial plumbing experience preferred
Ability to read plans/specs and understand plumbing systems
Estimating and takeoff experience is a major plus
Organized, proactive and able to manage multiple projects at once
Strong communication skills with both field and office teams
Comfortable working in a smaller company environment where everyone wears multiple hats
Familiar with Excel, Microsoft Office, StackCT or similar takeoff software
Reliable transportation for travel between office and jobsites in PA/NJ
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $100,000 to $150,000 depending on experience
Paid Time Off
Paid Holidays
Opportunity for long term growth within the company
Why This Role?
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants real involvement in projects and operations, not just sitting behind a desk. You’ll work closely with ownership, help shape projects from bid to closeout and be a key part of a growing company.
