We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, adherence to industry codes and standards, and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Welder/Fitter will work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality production while maintaining safety standards.
Job description
Fitter Welder able to perform flux core and mig welding: layout, fit and position weldments.
You would also be responsible to work from drawings, prints and job layouts, use tape
measure, square, and other measuring tools. This is a first shift position. Hours are 7:00 am
to 3:30 pm. Monday - Friday. Ability to kneel, bend, reach and lift up to 50 lbs. Strong math
skills. Reading blueprints, hand tools (grinders, drills) ability to drive a forklift, overhead crane, jib cranes.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 year of experience in fitting
- Proficient in various welding techniques including MIG, and stick welding
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read schematics and blueprints
- Experience with open table lay out
- Ability to operate forklifts, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and power tools
Skills:
- Excellent welding skills with the ability to produce high-quality welds
- Proficient in using various tools and equipment related to welding and fitting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and work orders
- Knowledge of different welding techniques and their applications
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standard
