Asbestos Project Monitor / Air Technician

Looking for Team Players!  Experience and Current Certification as a NYS Project Monitor/Air Tech preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• have a High School Diploma or GED. 
• You must be able to read and write in English. 
• You need to be comfortable with basic math and science. 
• Reliable transportation with room to carry the equipment required for the projects.

Job Responsibilities (this is not inclusive)

·         Work closely with onsite asbestos contractor;

·         Responsible for setting up air sampling equipment;

·         Must enter a regulated work area using proper PPE to check on work procedures;

·         Projects require final visual clearance to ensure the scope of work is complete

·         Daily paperwork must be filled out accurately, completely and legibly.

Physical Requirements

This position is active and requires standing, walking and driving. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that weigh more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment.

We work with a variety of clients from State Agencies to Homeowners and everyone in between.  Job hours are typically normal business hours, but some projects are nights (2nd or 3rd shift), weekends and Holidays.  We work throughout NYS and travel with overnights (often a week or more at a time) is required.

We are looking for full-time employees but would consider part-time with the understanding that nights and weekends are a part of the job.
