About this Opportunity
MillerKnoll is looking for a Manhattan Active SCALE Software Engineer - Retail to join our Digital Engineering and Platforms team. As a Software Engineer - Retail, you will own and support existing customizations as well as scoping, designing, and configuring new features and functionality in our retail systems' environment. The primary focus for this role would be Manhattan Active SCALE and associated integrations.

  • Be a part of a team that is developing and integrating these digital-first solutions to meet our growing customer demand.
  • Support the stakeholders in driving best practice adoption on Manhattan Active SCALE, ensuring optimal use of WMS application features to support scalable and efficient fulfillment operations.
  • Contribute to configuration, design, and technical analysis efforts within the warehouse management system.
  • Engage in Agile development practices through active involvement in sprint activities, scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and cross-training sessions, with Jira as a central tool for workflow tracking and team alignment.
  • Work with the product team and business counterparts to review bugs/issues, advise on capabilities native to the platform and design solutions for non-standard requirements.
  • Assist in facilitating training sessions and providing guidance to end users on effective utilization of SCI reporting.
  • Maintain documentation for customizations, processes, and trouble-shooting guides.
  • Participate in the verification and testing of system build deployments.
  • Review escalated system issues/bugs from the Helpdesk team to determine if technical changes are required and create and propose well-considered solutions.
  • Assist with security audit tasks by providing reporting and necessary data.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have . . .

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, supply chain or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience applying Manhattan Active SCALE solutions in real-world retail environments, with a background that includes collaboration as a client, systems integrator, or former Manhattan Associates employee-covering related integrations across POS, OMS, and WMS platforms.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' configuring and/or customizing Manhattan Active SCALE system.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with Manhattan Associates, including PSO Directors and Account Executives, to support strategic alignment and successful implementation efforts.
  • Strong history of developing and consuming interfaces around retail concepts like transactions, order data, inventory management, omni commerce.
  • Experience working in a SOX and PCI compliant organization.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) and leveraging Jira.
  • Experience configuring Manhattan SCALE for large initiatives such as dropship, cross docking, carrier assignment, slotting, wave template creation, zone and location creation, etc.
  • Experience with configuring, designing, and supporting pick tickets, labels, BOLs, commercial invoices, etc.
  • Strong analysis skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong SQL proficiency and familiarity with a MS environment (Report Builder & Azure Storage Explorer), JavaScript, XML, JSON.
