Endoscopy GI Technician Float Pool

*This position will float to our surgery centers in the Eastern region of North Texas: McKinney, Frisco, Plano, MCD and Anna

As an Endoscopy Tech, u nder the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse, you will contribute to the companys mission and vision by assisting with the care of patients und ergoing GI/Endoscopy procedures .

What you will do in this role:

• M aintain a sanitary environment for your patient
• You will d emonstrate knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of end oscopy equipment
• You will p repare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure availability of necessary G I equipment and supplies
• You will c lean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case
• You will a ssist in the maintenance, care and la beling of specimens
• You will i dentify specimen with the surgeon and pass to the circulating RN

Qualifications you will need :

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferre d
• One-year acute care experience, preferably i n an ambulatory surgery center
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment***onli ne certification not acceptable
