Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal general practice. The hospital provides comprehensive companion animal care, including preventive medicine, dentistry, internal medicine, and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. With a varied caseload ranging from routine wellness to advanced diagnostics and general surgeries, this opportunity is open to veterinarians of all experience levels, including students and new graduates with dedicated mentorship available.

Working Hours / Rota
The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility. The hospital operates Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Wednesday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Thursday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The hospital is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a diverse small animal caseload including wellness exams, preventive care, dentistry, internal medicine, general surgery, and advanced diagnostic cases. Responsibilities include performing soft tissue and orthopedic procedures, utilizing digital radiology and ultrasound, managing anesthesia including sevoflurane protocols, and delivering thorough client communication. The role emphasizes collaborative case management, personalized patient care, and maintaining high medical standards in line with AAHA accreditation. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital voluntarily upholds rigorous standards across multiple areas of veterinary care. The facility is equipped with in-house laboratory capabilities, digital radiology, dental X-rays, ultrasound, echocardiography, EKG, Tonopen, OFA X-ray, surgical suite, in-house pharmacy, and advanced anesthesia monitoring. Services include Orthopedic and Soft Tissue Surgery, Internal Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Dentistry, Pain Management, Hospice Care, Hospitalization, Radiology, and management of conditions such as Feline Hyperthyroidism.

The hospital is supported by 3 DVMs and a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment dedicated to delivering high-quality companion animal medicine.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
