Job Description

Local Program Coordinator (Houston, TX)

Full-Time | Salaried | 40 hrs/week
Location Requirement: Must reside in the Houston, TX area

About Us

Unlimited Events & Marketing, Inc. (UEM) is a full-service experiential marketing agency delivering impactful customer engagement across virtual and in-person environments—including schools, retail locations, and community events nationwide.

We are proud to support Colgate-Palmolive’s Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® (BSBF) program, a global initiative dedicated to improving the oral health and overall well-being of underserved children (ages 12 and under) through education, screenings, and referrals.

About the Role

We are seeking a Local Program Coordinator to support our Houston-based BSBF dental van team. This role blends community engagement, program coordination, and field execution, making it ideal for someone passionate about public health and who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

This is not a traditional 9–5 role—you’ll balance fieldwork, event coordination, and remote administrative responsibilities. Flexibility, organization, and strong communication skills are essential.

What You’ll Do

Program & Event Operations

  • Coordinate daily scheduling and logistics for the BSBF van team

  • Ensure seamless execution of virtual and in-person visits

  • Prepare and manage educational materials, oral care kits, and supplies

  • Support on-site setup and breakdown for events and presentations

  • Maintain equipment, inventory, and proper sanitation/sterilization standards

Community Outreach & Partnerships

  • Serve as the primary liaison for schools, community organizations, and event partners

  • Present and promote the BSBF program to prospective partners

  • Build and maintain strong community relationships to expand program reach

  • Track program impact and support follow-up for children needing dental referrals

Volunteer Coordination

  • Recruit, onboard, and support dental and non-dental volunteers

  • Provide clear direction on roles, data collection, and event procedures

  • Collaborate with the Dental Coordinator to ensure successful volunteer engagement

Administration & Reporting

  • Respond to partner, volunteer, and internal inquiries in a timely manner

  • Track, compile, and report program data (virtual and in-person visits)

  • Maintain accurate records, schedules, and databases, including:

    • Visit request trackers

    • Volunteer coordination tools (e.g., SignUpGenius)

    • Team agreements and reporting logs

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking abilities

  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace

  • Self-starter with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

  • Passion for public health, education, and community engagement

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work both independently and on a team

  • Willingness to travel and support events as needed

Preferred Experience:

  • Community outreach, public health, education, or program coordination

  • Event coordination or nonprofit/community-based work

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in public health, education, communications, or related field

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Must reside in the Houston, TX area

  • Must have a reliable home workspace for virtual meetings and administrative work

  • Reliable transportation required for local travel and event support

Compensation & Benefits

  • Company-issued laptop and tech support

  • Mileage reimbursement at current IRS rate

  • Travel accommodations (airfare, hotel, car rental) coordinated through UEM

  • Daily meal allowance ($55/day for approved travel)

  • Collaborative team environment with growth opportunities

Why Join Us?

At UEM, you’ll do more than coordinate events—you’ll help improve the health and futures of children and families in underserved communities. If you’re passionate about making a meaningful impact while building strong community connections, we’d love to hear from you.
