Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its growing team in Chicago, Illinois. This modern, multi-location clinic combines general practice with urgent care, offering a dynamic, fast-paced environment for veterinarians who want to build meaningful client relationships while also managing a wide variety of medical cases. The hospital treats companion animals and is equipped to handle both routine care and more urgent, non-emergency cases.

Working Hours / Rota
The clinic operates daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, with no overnight or on-call shifts required. Veterinarians typically work 3 to 4 days per week, with weekend rotations shared fairly among the team. This role is full-time and offers a flexible schedule designed to support work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will deliver both primary and urgent care to small animals, managing a varied caseload ranging from wellness visits to more complex medical concerns like laceration repairs or gastrointestinal issues. The position is ideal for those with experience in general practice, urgent care, or emergency settings. A strong interest in surgery or dentistry is a plus. This role emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and contributing ideas to improve clinical operations. Veterinarians work with a 3:1 support staff ratio and are free from production quotas or non-compete agreements, creating a supportive, patient-focused environment.

Practice Details
The hospital features a tech-forward infrastructure, including a laparoscopic surgery suite, digital radiography, ultrasound, and AI-assisted medical record-keeping tools. This technology, combined with a collaborative team model, enables clinicians to focus more on patient care and less on administrative burden. Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
