Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. This well-established, two-doctor, AAHA-accredited and Fear Free-certified practice provides care for dogs and cats, offering a progressive environment with modern technology and a strong focus on collaboration. The role is open to experienced veterinarians as well as new graduates, with structured mentorship available.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position with hospital hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Sundays remain closed. The rota offers a mix of consultation and surgical days, with no after-hours or on-call requirements, ensuring a sustainable work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The veterinarian will manage a balanced caseload that includes wellness and sick patients, alongside opportunities for dedicated surgery days. Clinical responsibilities include wellness care, preventative medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, urology, and pain management. New graduates are encouraged to apply and will benefit from structured mentorship, while experienced doctors will have the autonomy to grow their clinical interests.

Practice Details
The hospital is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment tools, including ultrasound, K-Laser therapy, digital radiology, dental radiography, EKG, Tonopen, and electronic medical records. Facilities include an in-house laboratory, pharmacy, and surgical suite, enabling comprehensive medical and surgical care. The practice holds AAHA accreditation and Fear Free certification, reflecting its commitment to gold-standard medicine and low-stress handling. Services offered cover preventive care, wellness testing, dentistry, dermatology, ophthalmology, allergy management, anesthesia, internal medicine, pain management, senior care, routine surgeries such as spays and neuters, and end-of-life care.

Team
The hospital is home to two veterinarians supported by an experienced medical and client care team. The environment is collaborative and mentorship-focused, offering students and new graduates the opportunity to learn in a supportive setting while also providing an engaging workplace for seasoned clinicians.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
