Job Summary
Job Description
Introduction
An Associate Veterinarian is needed to join a privately owned, community-focused hospital that prides itself on a warm, home-like atmosphere. Known for its welcoming environment where clients often stop by just to say hello, the clinic is deeply rooted in neighborhood connections and trusted relationships. This position offers the chance to step into a fully booked schedule or gradually build a caseload, depending on your preference.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and on Saturdays from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Full-time associates can expect a consistent schedule, with the support of a highly skilled team and no after-hours or on-call requirements.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. Responsibilities include wellness and preventive care, diagnostics, and collaboration on complex cases with area specialists. Client communication and education are essential, and doctors are encouraged to build strong, lasting relationships with patients and their families. This position is ideally suited to a veterinarian with a couple of years of experience, though motivated new graduates will also be considered and mentored.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with modern facilities, including digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, four exam rooms, two dental treatment tables, in-house laboratory, and a dedicated surgical suite. Collaboration with traveling specialists is available for more complex cases, ensuring a comprehensive standard of care. The practice maintains a minimum 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, often 3:1, allowing for excellent support and efficiency.
Team
The incoming doctor will join a dedicated group of veterinarians and staff who emphasize teamwork, mentorship, and a supportive culture. The atmosphere is family-oriented, and the clinic has built a strong reputation as a trusted neighborhood hospital where pets and clients feel at home.
