Salary: $2,152.75 - $2,352.75 /wk
Join the team as an Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) where you will operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images used by physicians. You will perform patient-focused care, assist radiologists during procedures, and maintain clinical documentation and image quality.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current BLS certification.
- RDMS in Breast ultrasound or ARRT in Breast required.
- At least 1 year of full-time experience as a sonographer with registry in Breast Ultrasound.
- Experience assisting radiologists during breast biopsies and providing imaging guidance.
- Familiarity with GE Logiq 10 or similar GE ultrasound systems preferred.
- EPIC and PACS experience preferred.
- Associate degree from an accredited ultrasound training program preferred.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Shift name: Days.
- Shift hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
- Patient population: Adult and geriatric.
- Must be able to perform high-level probe disinfection per Joint Commission standards.
- May be required to participate in interviews with internal and hiring manager as part of selection.

Job Responsibilities (Summary):
- Obtain and document diagnostic-quality ultrasound images demonstrating normal and pathological findings.
- Evaluate patient history, verify patient identification, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Assist radiologists during breast biopsies and provide imaging guidance.
- Maintain clinical competency across required patient populations and modalities used within the unit.
- Document sonographer impressions and relay findings to interpreting physicians.
- Participate in performance improvement, audits, student instruction, and new staff orientation.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Required: Current BLS certification.
- Required: RDMS in Breast or ARRT in Breast.
- Preferred: ACLS; ARDMS certification in other specialties.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum one year of clinical sonography experience including breast imaging.
- Ability to operate complex ultrasound equipment and recognize cross-sectional anatomy.
- Competence with image archiving systems (PACS) and electronic health records (EPIC preferred).
- Demonstrated patient communication skills and professionalism.
