Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned hospital that treats cats and dogs and is seeking a Medical Director (Emergency). This position is focused on overseeing and advancing the hospital's emergency department while providing high-level clinical care.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24/7/365. The Medical Director will work a mixture of day, swing, and overnight shifts. This is a full-time role, ideally structured as four shifts per week, though there is flexibility and the schedule is open to discussion.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of emergency responsibilities, including ER surgery. The Medical Director will also be involved in leading the team of veterinarians and supporting mentorship within the department. This position is open to experienced candidates only.

Practice Details
The hospital offers advanced imaging, including x-rays and ultrasound, a state-of-the-art surgical suite, and in-house diagnostics. It is AAHA accredited and provides a full scope of emergency services.

Team
The team includes four DVMs supported by a huge team of well-trained support staff. The environment is very collaborative.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
