Mammography Tech Travel Job

Join our team as an experienced Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Redwood City, CA. In this role, you will perform specialized breast imaging examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease for a hospital facility.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography (ARRT) (M) certification required.
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) verification required.
• Certification through the State of California for Mammography Technologists required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of mammography experience. Preferred: tomography (tomo) experience and documentation of prior mammography volumes for the last 2 years.
• Initial digital CE units and initial tomo CE units required. Preferred: 2 years of mammography and tomo CE units.
• Cerner charting system experience required.
• Orientation hours: 12. Facility will provide scrubs.
• COVID-19 vaccination certification required.
• Preferred: fluoroscopy permit, venipuncture experience, CT proficiency, ARDMS for ultrasound tech cross-coverage, and prior OR experience.

Assignment Details

• Workload: Patients typically scheduled one per hour; inpatient and ER patients included.
• Orientation: Floor-specific orientation length varies by experience; mammography orientation depends on tomography experience.

• Scheduling expectation: Eight-hour schedules are typical across department; weekend or call requirements may apply depending on cross-skills and radiologist approval.
• Candidate may be expected to float within the hospital radiology department as needed.
