Ophthalmic Teahnician / Assistant

Immediate opening for an experienced ophthalmic technician/assistant in an established and growing ophthalmology private practice in Largo. We are seeking to add a highly motivated, enthusiastic, honest, and knowledgeable ophthalmic tech/assistant to our team. Our practice mission is to enjoy working together as a professional family in order to establish a personal doctor/patient relationship and to provide excellent quality care in a friendly office environment.

Job Description: Obtaining and entering the patients ocular and medical history accurately into the electronic medical records, performing a manifest refraction, IOP, slit lamp exam, Humphrey VF, being proficient in performing an OCT of the optic nerve and macula, fundus photography. Certification as an ophthalmic technician or assistant is a bonus but not required. The candidate should feel comfortable performing mulitple tasks, be willing to work the front office position when necessary, be familiar with insurance plans, along with triage of common ophthalmic conditions.
