Licensed Optician - Monday - Friday ( No Weekends )

Dr. Lee Shettle has practiced ophthalmology in Largo for 20 years.  We are a rapidly growing one physician ophthalmology practice with a large patient base, in addition to a large primary care referral base.  We are seeking an experienced full-time licensed optician to manage our optical dispensary, in a friendly, personable environment.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about assisting patients with all aspects of their eyewear needs. 

Responsibilities include:

• Frame selection, fitting, dispensing & repairs
• Strong background in filling contact lens prescriptions and contact lens fitting
• Skills in frame board arrangement and displays
• Frame inventory management and ordering
• Strong knowledge of processing vision insurance
• Track status of patient orders to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
• Contact patients for frame and contact lens pick-up
• Experience working with Compulink EMR is a plus
• Working knowledge of sales reports and accurate accounting of optical sales
