Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

• Conduct maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform emergency and scheduled repairs on production equipment during operations and maintenance periods.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely and efficiently.
• Carry out basic machinist tasks as needed.
• Apply mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to troubleshoot and repair production machines.
• Follow equipment manuals and work orders to complete maintenance and service tasks.
• Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, and test equipment for proper operation.
• Assist with routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment.
• Identify faulty operations or defective materials and report issues to supervision.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas.

Required Experience:

• Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance, or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience with strong skills in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial maintenance, particularly in production environments.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Detail-oriented and dedicated, with a commitment to high-quality equipment maintenance, project work, and general housekeeping to keep all shop areas organized and clean.
• Proficient in manufacturing, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of plastic extrusion equipment is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands:

• Authorized to work legally in the United States.
• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Position is highly active, involving standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
• Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Requires vision abilities
