Job Description

Litigation Paralegal

NST Injury Law is a nationally recognized personal injury firm, proudly rooted in Memphis, Tennessee. Guided by our six pillars — compassionate care, accessibility, resourcefulness, trust & transparency, personalized service, and maximized pursuit — we deliver elite legal representation while remaining deeply committed to the communities we serve.

Our continued growth is intentional. We scale with discipline, invest in systems, and build teams that operate with excellence and heart. We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team at our Nashville location and help drive structured case progression, client care, and litigation proceedings.

The Opportunity

As a Litigation Paralegal, you will work directly with our litigation attorneys to move cases strategically from lawsuit filing through resolution or trial. Your work will help ensure that each case is meticulously prepared, deadlines are met, discovery is managed effectively, and attorneys are positioned to advocate for our clients at the highest level.

This role requires someone who brings both operational discipline and litigation experience, and who understands that strong case preparation is one of the most powerful tools in achieving exceptional outcomes for injured clients.

What You Will Own

Litigation Case Progression

  • Manage a structured litigation caseload under attorney supervision from lawsuit filing through trial or resolution.
  • Maintain litigation calendars and procedural deadlines to ensure strict compliance with court requirements.
  • Track and coordinate key litigation milestones including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Maintain organized and litigation-ready case files within the firm’s case management system.

Discovery Management & Evidence Organization

  • Draft, serve, and track written discovery including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
  • Coordinate with clients and attorneys to prepare accurate and timely discovery responses.
  • Organize medical records, billing, expert materials, and other evidentiary documentation for production and case preparation.

Client Communication & Litigation Support

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients throughout the litigation phase.
  • Prepare clients for depositions, mediation, and litigation-related proceedings.
  • Maintain consistent, professional client communication in alignment with firm standards.
  • Handle sensitive matters with discretion, professionalism, and empathy.

Depositions, Mediation & Trial Preparation

  • Coordinate depositions, expert scheduling, and court reporter services.
  • Prepare deposition summaries and organize supporting exhibits.
  • Assist attorneys with mediation preparation including case summaries and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare trial notebooks, exhibit lists, witness lists, and trial support materials.

Court Filings & Procedural Compliance

  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and supporting documentation in accordance with state and federal court rules.
  • Maintain accurate docket tracking to ensure no deadlines are missed.
  • Coordinate with court clerks, opposing counsel, and experts throughout the litigation process.

Case Management System Discipline

  • Maintain accurate status updates, task completion, and documentation within the firm’s case management platform.
  • Ensure litigation deadlines, filings, notes, and communications are properly documented.
  • Follow established workflows and SOPs to support consistency, transparency, and accountability across cases.

Who Thrives in This Role

  • A proactive litigation professional who anticipates deadlines and next steps.
  • A systems-oriented individual who values structure, accountability, and operational discipline.
  • A client-centered professional who balances professionalism with empathy.
  • A collaborative team member who works closely with attorneys and staff to advance cases strategically.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certification preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of personal injury litigation experience required.
  • Experience operating within a legal case management system.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and written communication abilities.

If you thrive in an environment where discipline, preparation, and client care intersect — and you want to help drive meaningful outcomes for injured clients — we welcome the opportunity to review your application.
