Job Description

Pre-Litigation Paralegal (Case Manager)

NST Injury Law is a nationally recognized personal injury firm, proudly rooted in Memphis, Tennessee. Guided by our six pillars — compassionate care, accessibility, resourcefulness, trust & transparency, personalized service, and maximized pursuit — we deliver elite legal representation while remaining deeply committed to the communities we serve.

Our continued growth is intentional. We scale with discipline, invest in systems, and build teams that operate with excellence and heart. We are seeking a Pre-Litigation Paralegal (Case Manager) to join our legal team and help drive structured case progression, client care, and pre-suit resolutions.

The Opportunity

You will work directly with pre-litigation attorneys, to manage and advance personal injury cases from intake through demand and resolution. Your work will directly impact client experience, case velocity, and financial outcomes by ensuring cases are strategically developed, meticulously documented, and proactively progressed toward settlement.

What You Will Own

Case Development & Strategy Execution

  • Manage a structured caseload from representation through demand preparation and pre-litigation settlement under attorney supervision.
  • Drive case progression by proactively identifying next steps, deadlines, and strategic needs.
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and complete case data and files within the case management system.

Client Communication & Experience

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the pre-litigation phase.
  • Maintain consistent, structured client communication in alignment with firm standards.
  • Educate clients on the pre-litigation process, treatment expectations, and case progression milestones.
  • Handle sensitive client matters with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.

Medical & Damages Documentation

  • Coordinate with third-party medical record retrieval providers to ensure timely retrieval of records and balances.
  • Track treatment status and notify the attorney when cases are approaching readiness for demand.
  • Review medical documentation for completeness and identify gaps in treatment or causation support.

Demand Preparation & Settlement Support

  • Prepare comprehensive demand packages aligned with firm strategy and attorney guidance.
  • Ensure all supporting documentation is organized, accurate, and persuasive.
  • Assist with settlement communications and documentation following firm guidelines.
  • Maintain settlement tracking and ensure post-settlement tasks are handled timely.

Case Management System Discipline

  • Maintain accurate status changes, task completion, and documentation within the case management platform.
  • Ensure critical dates, notes, and communications are properly recorded.
  • Follow structured workflows and SOPs to ensure consistency and accountability across cases.

Who Thrives in This Role

  • A proactive case driver who does not wait to be told the next step.
  • A client-centered communicator who balances empathy with professionalism.
  • A detail-oriented organizer who understands that documentation wins cases.
  • A disciplined executor who values systems, structure, and accountability.
  • A team player who collaborates across departments to move cases forward.
  • Someone who believes that excellence in pre-litigation directly impacts client outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certification preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of personal injury pre-litigation experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of insurance claims processes and bodily injury case development.
  • Experience operating within a legal case management system.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and written communication abilities.

If you thrive in a structured, high-performance environment where client care and operational discipline intersect — and you want to help drive meaningful outcomes for injured clients — we look forward to reviewing your application.
