Sheet Metal Technician

Sheet Metal Technician Pay: $28-35 Location: Columbus, OH (more specifically in Lewis Center) Job Description We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Technician to join our team. You will play a critical role in installing and maintaining ductwork systems. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our projects and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Install hangers, including hanging sheet metal straps from pre-installed inserts in concrete decks or hanging trapeze strut hangers. Perform high-pressure duct installations, including TDF/TDC flange rectangular duct connections and cutting in taps as necessary. Install low-pressure ductwork, including cutting and installing spiral ductwork and fittings. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience with installing ductwork. Proficiency in sheet metal, HVAC, ductwork, blueprint reading, and HVAC installation. OSHA 10 certification or higher. Scissor lift certification. Possession of own hand tools, including an impact drill, wrench, pliers, channel locks, vice grips, 9/16ths sockets with impact adapter, and screwdrivers. Type 2 hard hat with chin strap. Cut level 5 gloves. Additional Skills & Qualifications Journeyman card is a plus. Experience with stainless steel welding and general welding. Experience in construction, commercial construction, or industrial construction. Why Work Here? This opportunity offers the chance to work on a long-term project with optional Saturday shifts. Work Environment Work on the Cologix data center (building 5) project from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with optional Saturdays. Personal protective equipment required includes a type 2 hard hat with chin strap, cut level 5 gloves, high visibility gear, harness and retractable, steel-toed boots, and safety glasses. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Lewis Center, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
