Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.
3 months of experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license (required for submission).
This role will require floating to multiple units
Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.
Flu vaccination required for submission. Medical declinations accepted.
No previous experience allowed for Staff at Facility: Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Northern Light.

Additional Details:
Required Skills / Experience: Neuro and Trauma experience
Ventilator management, critical care drips/titration, cardiac rhythm interpretation, measuring cardiac strips, drains, chest tubes, hemodynamic lines: art lines/CVP, Stroke experience
Unit / Facility Details: Housing in ME becomes more expensive in the summer months, beginning in May. Be sure to confirm you are comfortable with housing options before applying.

Patient Ratio: 1/2, based on acuity. May get 3rd patient as one is being downgraded. ED Hold/Obs: 1/4-5, dependent on acuity
Special Requests: Roles requiring state licensure only: License should not expire within 45 days following start date
You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility.
Travel Pairs: If you are in a relationship, EMMC will not schedule you on the same days. If you are not in a relationship, you can be scheduled for the same days if not on the same shift/unit. Managers will not guarantee the same schedule for travel pairs.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other - Night: Friday / Saturday
No Call Requirement
Holiday Expectations: Manager approval
Floating Requirement: May be assigned as a Critical Care Resource
This is a float pool position that floats between all levels of care, appropriate to care type this does include floating into the ED to take ED holds (patients with admission orders) and/or ED Observation patients (holding orders but not fully admitted); will include patients within your scope of practice and below; as well as PACU Holds (patients with inpatient orders awaiting a bed)
7 days maximum time off
2 references from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
