SHIPPING/RECEIVING/INVENTORY ASSOCIATE

POSITION SUMMARY
 
In this position, you will perform a variety of shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks. Prepare and manage all shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments on sales orders, customer equipment receiving and returns, vendor supplies, and return of defective parts or incorrect orders. The right person needs a CAN-DO attitude, highly organized, dependable, possesses excellent attention-to-detail and self-managed follow-up and follow-through skills.

Position is in-person and relocation assistance is not available. 

MUST REQUIREMENTS - HSD/GED, with 3-5+ years of shipping and receiving experience. Direct external customer service and purchasing experience is a PLUS.

  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Legally entitled to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
  • Valid Washington state driver license with a clean driving history and active auto insurance
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds while performing duties of this job.
  • Ability to sit, climb, kneel, or stand for extended periods of time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shipping
    • Picking, packing, Kitting, Order fulfillment, Material Handling, and Pulling Orders. 
    • Daily use of DHL and FedEx online systems for both (Domestic and International) shipments, and occasional UPS domestic, or other shipping companies (customer requested) from time to time.
    • Prepare all International shipping documentation for USMCA/T-MEC/CUSMA, EEI and SLI. Familiar with International customs requirements, HS codes, and awareness of ECCN.
    • Must have working knowledge of how to safely package, label, tape, weigh, and lift heavy boxes for shipping.
    • Follow all customs and broker regulations and guidelines for shipping internationally to make sure customer shipments do not have delays.
    • Perform ERP system transactions as they relate to inventory removal, replacements, or transfers.
    • Maintain accurate records (computerized and paper) for inventory control and reporting.
  • Receiving
    • Receives and unpacks all incoming shipments from deliveries, performs verification of information on packing slip with purchase order for accuracy of shipment.
    • Inspect shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
    • Ensure all materials go into inventory and/or delivered to appropriate group once verifications are complete.
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain accurate stock levels, and stock management, document discrepancies, and notify accounting with supporting documentation.
    • Use ERP software and spreadsheets to record controlled inventory information.
    • Store items in designated locations.
    • Conduct semi-annual and annual cycle counts.
  • Administrative
    1. Prepare reports, scan, and file all shipping/receiving/inventory records.
    2. Provide tracking information to sender or customer for outgoing shipments.
    3. Trace lost, delayed, or customer claims of lost shipments and obtain proof of delivery documents.
    4. Update, maintain, and create work instructions or procedural documents.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping area daily. Sustains the storage area, organizes and places supplies on shelves. Ensures the area is always secure.
  • When needed, deliver shipments within a 100-mile radius using company vehicle when available; may assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area.
  • May perform other duties unrelated to shipping and receiving.

SKILLS NEEDED

  • Ability to work independently with an elevated level of accuracy and precision in daily work.
  • Requires mindfulness and the ability to disseminate information whether specifically noted or mentioned.
  • Must be able to keep track of competing priorities and prioritize daily work while being flexible with change.
  • Working knowledge of software applications, Excel, Outlook, with ERP system experience.
  • Display a sense of urgency and ability to work under specified periods, when required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Problem solving and strong math skills.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges.

SCHEDULE AND PAY:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Day shift from 6:30am - 3:00pm 
  • Monday to Friday
  • Non-exempt, Hourly
  • Pay Range: $25.00 to $30.00(Hourly) - $52,000 - $62,400 ( Annualized)
