Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The practice provides care for a wide variety of species including cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, guinea pigs, mice, hamsters, ferrets, and other exotic animals, offering a diverse and engaging caseload for veterinarians interested in treating multiple species.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 7:00pm, Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm, with the hospital closed on Sundays. The position is available on a full-time basis.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care to a varied caseload of patients. Daily responsibilities include conducting thorough examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing appropriate treatment plans. The role involves performing routine surgical procedures, delivering preventive care and vaccinations, managing medical cases, prescribing medications, and maintaining accurate medical records in line with regulatory standards. The veterinarian will also communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient care, and participate in ongoing professional development to maintain clinical excellence. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with in-house labs, laser therapy equipment, and both digital and dental x-ray technology to support accurate diagnostics and treatment. The facility holds an outstanding 4.9-star Google rating and provides state-of-the-art medical care for patients, with a full dental suite and full surgical suite available. The practice is a Fear Free Certified Practice and offers a range of services including laser therapy, urgent care, wellness care, diagnostics, routine surgeries, and dental procedures.
Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by 12 support staff, creating a collaborative clinical environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
